Making A Wood Patio Table
Wood patio table – Make a wooden patio table is a great project for spring or summer and can be a wonderful addition to your backyard. Another added benefit: you will have the satisfaction of building a piece of outdoor furniture with bare hands. Buy plywood and other building materials store home improvement or lumberyard. Buy cable reels, either by doing a search online or contact electricians in your area to see if they have any they can sell or give to you. You can also find the cable feels like junkyards and resale shops. Clean and dry cable reels completely before proceeding.
Click four rounded cuts, 4 inches each, on each edge of the plywood with a saw and discard the pieces. Sand all the edges of the coils of plywood and cable until smooth and uniform in size and appearance. Use the sander to smooth rough areas on the flat surfaces of plywood reels and cable. Clean chips dust with a damp cloth. Make sure that the cable reels are centered below the middle of the table. They should be about a foot away from each other, too.
Set the piece of plywood on top of the two cable reels. Measure and mark four screw holes in the top of the table top above each cable reels, spacing them about 1/2 inch apart from each other. Secure the plywood for both cable reels using screw gun to drill four screws on cable reels where marked on plywood. Use a level to ensure that the surface is uniform. Sand any other area of the surface of the wood feel rough to the touch. Paint a layer of stain on all wood surfaces. Let the stain dry for several hours and apply another coat. Apply a coat of sealer on top of the stain. Let the sealer dry for at least 12 hours before using the table. Now you can make and have a wood patio table.
